Clay County Memorial Hospital is accredited by the Texas Department of Health as a General Med-Surgical Hospital. Its medical staff is comprised of highly-qualified physicians most of whom are either board certified or board eligible in their areas of specialization. The nursing and technical staff are nationally-certified in specialty areas such at trauma care, advanced cardiac life support, certified emergency care, critical care, orthopedics and geriatrics. It is accessible to person's with a disability. There are wheelchair ramps at the front of the building as well as automatic doors.

Clay County Memorial Hospital is open 365 days a year. The Emergency Department lobby located on the Hospital's north side serves as the hospital's main entry after 8 pm and on weekends. Public parking is available on both the north and south sides of the hospital. Private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and PPO's are accepted.

Clay County Memorial Hospital has served this community for over 60 years. In 1992 the CCMH Foundation, a non profit organization, was established to ensure continued medical care for Clay County. In 2004 the Thirty Minute Club (TMC) was started by a group of employees wanting to come along side the Foundation and undertake projects that benefit the purpose and goals of CCMH and the welfare of its patients.
